A 62-year-old Upper Ottawa Valley man is dead after his motorcycle was struck on Highway 17 Thursday night.
Pembroke OPP said the victim was driving west of Paquette Road around 8:30 p.m. when a Chevrolet Cobalt crossed into his lane and hit him.
Laurentian Hills resident Bernard Surette later died of his injuries. The car’s driver was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police said the road has been re-opened and alcohol is not considered a factor.
