Man facing criminal charges after robbery
An Ottawa man is facing several criminal charges in connection with a personal robbery that happened on Bank Street April 30, 2012.
The incident took place at about 3 p.m. Monday when a man riding a motorized wheelchair was robbed along the 1100 block of Bank Street. The suspect engaged the victim in a brief conversation before making a demand for money and telling the victim he was armed.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.
Clarence Momolu, 34, is charged with robbery and breach of undertaking. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
