A 22-year-old Ottawa man is facing more than a dozen charges after shots were fired in Ottawa’s Sandy Hill neighbourhood Sunday evening.
Police said they received numerous reports of shots being fired in the 500 block of Chapel Street. Police said once they were on scene they located someone they believed to be involved fleeing the area. Police chased the suspect on foot and he was arrested. Police recovered a loaded handgun.
22-year-old Phillip McGuffie is facing a number of weapons and drug charges.
He's expected to appear in court tomorrow.
