Police have identified the victim of a fatal farming incident as a 31-year-old eastern Ontario man.

Aaron F. Whalen, of Tyendinaga Township, was a registered hobby farmer with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. He was also a Canadian food inspector.

Police say Whalen was pulling a load of hay when his tractor tipped in Tyendinaga Township on Saturday evening. Whalen died from his injuries.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
