A 61-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a woman in the town of Alfred, 45 minutes east of Ottawa.
OPP identified the victim of the homicide as 41-year-old Jacqueline Rouleau of Hawkesbury. Investigators said they don't believe domestic violence played a role in her death. Lalonde was due to appear in court Friday.
