A 26-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder and remains in custody following an appearance in an Ottawa courtroom on Sunday morning.
There was no further court date announced for Rodny Wiss Ceasar.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call at the Deja Vue Cafe Bar in Hawkesbury, about an hour and a half east of Ottawa, around 1:05 a.m. Saturday.
Reports said two men got involved in a fight. Danny Trineer, 32, later died of his injuries.
The homicide remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Hawkesbury OPP at 613-632-2729.
