A 40-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges in connection with a hit-and-run in a parking lot at Algonquin College.
Mohamed Amer is charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, leaving the scene of an accident and public mischief.
Ottawa police laid the charges after a 20-year-old man was run over by a vehicle at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Paramedics reported the vehicle was in reverse when it struck the man and ran over both of his legs.
The victim is recovering from serious but non-life threatening injuries in hospital.
Amer's next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 24.
