A 37-year-old South Stormont man has been formally charged in the death of his mother.
Ontario Provincial Police found the body of 63-year-old Yolande Groulx in a rural home north of Cornwall, Ont. on Tuesday.
Groulx's son Pierre was charged with second-degree murder during a Cornwall court appearance Wednesday morning.
He will remain in police custody until his next court appearance March 27.
An autopsy on Groulx's body is scheduled to be conducted in Kingston, Ont., Wednesday.
