A 39-year-old Gatineau man was airlifted to the Ottawa Hospital with serious injuries after his SUV collided with a dump truck in Almonte Wednesday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say the collision happened at the intersection of County Road 29 and Perth Street in Almonte, about 50 kilometres west of Ottawa.
The driver of the SUV, a Gatineau man, was seriously injured and airlifted to the civic campus of the Ottawa Hospital. The dump truck driver was not hurt.
Police are investigating. County Road 29 was closed for almost four hours. It has since reopened.
