Highway 7 near Peterborough was closed for several hours Saturday morning following a two-vehicle crash that left a 55-year-old man in life-threatening condition. He later died of his injuries.

According to Ontario Provincial Police, a 1994 Mazda Protege was going east on Highway 7. It crossed the centre line and crashed into a 2006 GMC flatbed tow truck that was loaded at the time of the crash.
