Ottawa Police have seized $15 Million in drugs connected to the 2011 murders of Graham Thomas and Jason Chapman.

The synthetic drugs were seized within the last week during a raid in the East End.  The drugs, known as Benzylpiperazine (BZP) and Trifluromethylphenylpiperazine (TFMPP), were found in both powder and pill form.  No charges have been laid in relation to the seizure.

35-year-old Graham Thomas and 31-year-old Jason Chapman were gunned down in October 2011 at the Caribbean Exposure Tanning Salon inside the Gloucester Centre.   Ottawa Police sources told CTV News at the time that the crime may have been connected to Thomas’ past as a high profile drug dealer.  Thomas was arrested on drug charges in 2000, and convicted of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence .  Chapman was convicted of drug trafficking in 2007.

The homicide and seizure investigations are continuing by the Ottawa Police Major Crime Section.
