September may be many moons away but Madonna fans weren't wasting any time. Tickets for her Ottawa concert went on sale at 10 a.m. Monday morning and reportedly sold out within half an hour.

CTV paid a visit to the capitaltickets.ca website. When our staff tried to buy just one ticket at any price and any level, this message was posted:

"We are sorry. The number of seats you requested could not be found in any price level at this time. You may request a different number of tickets or a different ticket type and try again."

There were 15,000 tickets available for the singer's September 10th concert at Scotiabank Place; and clearly high prices were of no deterrence to buyers.

Floor seats cost $350.11 and the nosebleed section with a limited view of the stage cost $45.11.

Each buyer was limited to eight tickets.

A quick search online resulted in quite a few tickets for resale on classified sites like Kijiji. It means desperate Madonna fans may still have a chance to attend the concert but at the ticketholders pricing which is usually much higher than what they originally paid.

Many say this should be considered scalping which is illegal in Ontario.

According to Live Nation, the tickets sold out in 21 minutes. The company claims it is the fastest concert sellout in Ottawa's history.
