Ottawa Police are searching for a suspect who threatened staff with a machete to steal cell phones from a Kanata store.
The suspect walked into the store at the Signature Centre in the 400 Block of Terry Fox Drive just before closing time January 2, 2015.
He pulled a large knife from a duffel bag and ordered the store employee to hand over cell phones. The worker complied and the man fled with the phones.
The suspect is described as being of Middle Eastern descent, approximately 6'4" (193cm), medium build, wearing black track pants, white runners, a grey bomber jacket and a Yukon style hat with checkered black and grey fur on the ear flaps. He also wore a head scarf to disguise his face.
