Friends and family of 47-year-old Daniel Larocque are preparing to say goodbye to a loved one killed in a horrific crash this weekend.

Visitation for Larocque will be held this Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A funeral service will follow at Kelly Funeral Home in Orleans. In lieu of flowers, Larocque's family has asked for donations to be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Larocque was the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Ottawa's Colonel By Drive on Saturday. Relatives say Laroque was a loyal family man and friend.

His girlfriend, 25-year-old Angela Williams, was also killed. Funeral arrangements have not yet been set for Williams.

Larocque and Williams dated for more than two years. They both worked at Ottawa software firm Open Text. Larocque was a vice-president at the company. Williams worked as an analyst.

Grief counsellors were on hand Monday to help employees deal with the sudden death of their colleagues.

The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
