Police have a 19-year-old in custody after discovering a loaded firearm in a car during a routine traffic stop near the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club.
The incident took place on Saturday on Paul Anka Drive, a road just north of the Ottawa International Airport.
Mahmoud Alia is charged with obstructing police and several firearms-related offences.
