Ottawa Police cordoned off Laurier Avenue just west of Elgin Street Monday afternoon because a watermain break caused the street to flood.
Residents who live in an apartment building on Laurier say they're worried the road will collapse and affect access from their parking lot.
City crews have been racing all day to clean up many of the thousands of catch basins before the big freeze.
