A Lanark County man is facing various sex charges, including child luring over the Internet.

Andre Renaud, 31, was charged last week following an investigation into a complaint about sexual exploitation via the Internet.

Ontario Provincial Police laid the charges after searching a home where they seized a computer in Drummond-North Elmsley Township, near Perth, Ont.

Renaud is charged with one count each of sexual exploitation (child luring via the Internet), invitation to sexual touching, sexual assault, sexual interference and assault.

Police say the charges relate to an incident that involved two teenage girls known to the accused.

Renaud was released from custody after a bail hearing in Perth on Tuesday. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 16.

Drummond-North Elmsley Township is located about 85 kilometres southwest of Ottawa.
