KINGSTON, Ont. - John Gibson stopped 36 of 37 shots as his Kitchener Rangers crushed the host Kingston Frontenacs 9-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Radek Faksa and Tobias Rieder had a goal and an assist each for the Rangers (29-12-1) while Cory Genovese, Tyler Randell, Michael Catenacci, Zach Lorentz, Brandon Francisco, Max Iafrate and Curtis Meighan scored the others.

Cody Alcock scored the lone goal for the Frontenacs (12-28-4), who have now dropped three straight games.

Igor Bobkov allowed six goals on 22 shots and was pulled after 40 minutes.

Jacob Riley came in for the third period and stopped 10 of 13 shots in relief.

Kitchener went 0 for 2 on the power play while Kingston failed to score on four opportunities with the man advantage.
