Kingston residents alerted to release of convicted criminal
Kingston police are warning residents a convicted sex offender has been released into the community.
James Robert Bateman, 50, was released from jail Thursday after serving the latest in a string of sexual assault sentences.
Bateman has served time for attacking both adults and children and has been in and out of jail since 1985.
He is described as a white male with long grey-brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5'4 and weighs about 200 pounds.
