NAPANEE, Ont. -- A 21-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting three police officers following a traffic stop in eastern Ontario.

Provincial police say a car was pulled over Saturday on a county road in Napanee, Ont., for allegedly going 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h limit.

OPP allege that after the officer read the driver a roadside alcohol screening demand, the female driver got out of the car and assaulted him.

She was arrested on charges of assaulting a peace officer and refusing a breath demand.

While being placed in cells at the Napanee detachment, police allege she assaulted two other officers.

Olivera Bogdanovic of Kingston, Ont., is to appear in Napanee court on Sept. 27 to face three counts of assaulting a peace officer, and single counts of resisting a peace officer, stunt driving, and refusing to provide a breath sample.
