A Kingston man has been charged among 72 others for participating in an international child pornography ring.

Brandon William Lane, 26, was arrested by Kingston police in November 2010 and charged with accessing, possessing and distributing child pornography.

Since his initial arrest, Lane has been indicted in United States Federal Court as a part of Operation Delego. The operation spanned five continents and 14 countries. It's resulted in the arrests of 72 people so far.

Lane and another Canadian have both been charged with engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy to advertise the distribution of child pornography and conspiracy to distribute child pornography.

Lane specifically is accused of being an administrator of "Dreamboard," a private, members-only online bulletin board created to promote pedophilia and advocate the sexual abuse of children.
