It wasn’t just a launch.

It was a lunch.

Ottawa officially kicked off the street food season by inviting several food trucks and carts to Marion Dewar Plaza for a foodie lunch today.

Among the options were several brand new food trucks. The City expanded the number of available spaces by 5 this year.

The new additions include the Bytown Bayou Louisiana Smokehouse truck setting up at Somerset and Wellington, the Nacho Cartel truck at Argyle and O’Connor, Rico Peru at Olmstead and Montreal Road, the Mobile Mayflower at Courtwood and Woodward, and the Stella Luna Gelato Cart at Bank and Sparks.

They join more than 50 street food vendors already operating around Ottawa.
