STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA Group is recalling hundreds of thousands of RUND drinking glasses after a dozen broke during use, causing injury.

IKEA says 256,000 RUND handmade glass mugs have been sold worldwide between October 2009 and March 2010.

Company spokeswoman Ylva Magnusson says the recall comes after a dozen of them broke while in use leaving five users with cuts. None of the victims were seriously injured, she added.

Magnusson says customers are asked to stop using the glasses "immediately" and return them for a full refund.

The Helsingborg-headquartered group employs 127,000 people and has 280 stores.
