Organizers say this year's winter festival was one of the best in Winterlude's 31-year history.

Although the National Capital Commission didn't take official attendance, it's estimated that this year's crowds beat the average attendance of 650,000 people.

The Ice Hogs marked the end of Winterlude on Sunday, greeting crowds for one last time.

During the course of the festival, audiences were entertained by renowned Canadian performers, including Jim Cuddy and Jully Black.
