An executive in the federal public service has been named president and CEO of Hydro Ottawa.

Bryce Conrad will replace Rosemarie Leclair who resigned in March to chair the Ontario Energy Board. Conrad will lead Hydro Ottawa for a five-year term beginning Aug. 15.

Conrad is currently an executive with Infrastructure Canada, where he is the assistant deputy minister of program operations.

He has previously worked in senior roles with Transport Canada, the Treasury Board and Human Resources Development Canada.

Conrad has experience managing billions of dollars of infrastructure and capital projects. He has a master's degree in public administration from Carleton University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Ottawa.
