Many residents are questioning the safety of an intersection on Highway 7 after an Arnprior man was killed when a dump truck hit his car Thursday morning.

Ontario provincial police say John Pulcine, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene after his 1998 green Cadillac was crushed when a dump truck entered the intersection at Highway 7 and Dwyer Hill Road at about 5:40 a.m.

Although police say the dump truck had the right of way, witnesses who contacted CTV Ottawa said the traffic lights at the intersection were just installed and construction is obstructing the view of drivers.

Police are continuing their investigation.
