Increased airport security in the United States has caused outrage among airline passengers with many protesting what they call intrusive pat-downs and full-body scans that are like "virtual strip searches."
Under the American Transportation Security Administration's latest rules, travellers at some airports must step through an X-ray scanner that performs a virtual full-body strip search.
The person screening the test sits in a different room and does not know the identities of individuals who pass through. However, many travellers are still reluctant to get the scan.
