Greg Etue, husband of CTV Ottawa's Carol Anne Meehan, has been found dead near Killaloe, Ont.

The well-known pharmacist hadn't been seen or heard from since Jan. 16 when he left home in the family van. He had been battling multiple sclerosis and cancer for several years.

Ontario police said they found Etue and the 2008 Pontiac Montana on High Crest Lane in Brudenell around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Foul play is not suspected.

"This was an extremely sad story that everybody hoped would turn out very differently," said Richard Gray, vice-president and general manager of CTV Ottawa. "Carol Anne and her family are absolutely devastated as they were continuing to hope that her husband Greg would return home safe and sound."

"All of us at CTV have the deepest of sympathies and would like to pass on our condolences to her in this time of great loss."

CTV Ottawa's thoughts and prayers are with Carol Anne and her family, and we want to thank the many members of the public for their messages of support.

Brudenell is about two-and-a-half hours west of downtown Ottawa.
