A 12-year-old girl is in hospital with serious injuries after falling about nine meters from a tree Friday afternoon.
Ottawa paramedics responded to the call about 4 p.m. near the corner of Riverdale and Belmont avenues near Windsor Park. The girl was in serious condition after suffering a broken pelvis and shoulder blade.
She was taken to the Children's Hospital Trauma Centre for treatment.
