Police in western Quebec say a 10-year-old girl is dead after being hit by a falling tree Saturday afternoon.
The child was rushed to a hospital in Wakefield with severe injuries when it happened but did not survive.
It happened in the town of Farrellton in La Peche, Que. , after two severe thunderstorms ripped through the region Friday.
Police are investigating.
