Police are interviewing up to 30 people in connection with the shooting of an on-duty Gatineau police officer.
The officer was shot in the leg Saturday night around 10 p.m. after responding to a bush party along the Gatineau River on St. Louis street.
The female officer, who has been with the force for three years, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
With the assistance of Quebec provincial police, a helicopter was used to search a cordoned off area for suspects during the early morning hours.
Police arrested a 20-year-old suspect who was seen trying to flee the area.
Police are interviewing about 30 people in connection with the incident.
St. Louis street was closed to traffic for hours, but re-opened around 9:45 Sunday morning.
So far, no charges have been laid.
The investigation is ongoing.
