Police are investigating after a Gatineau man was seriously injured when he was beaten with a baseball bat early Monday morning.
Police say the man was allegedly attacked by a group of people who were apparently waiting for him in a car outside his home on Marquis Street, east of downtown Gatineau.
"There were guys that came over here during the day for a certain two people and it was my sister and her boyfriend that they were looking for," said witness Rene Samson.
Police won't say if the incident is drug-related. The man's condition has not been released.
