A 53-year-old man is in Gatineau hospital with leg and back injuries after jumping from his third-floor apartment during a fire Monday morning.
Gatineau police say the blaze broke out in apartment 14 of a three-storey building at 60 Taylor Rd. in Gatineau just after 4 a.m. The injured man lived in the apartment where the fire started.
Thirty-nine people were evacuated while firefighters worked to contain the flames. Residents have since returned to their apartments.
