A Gatineau man died while swimming in the St. Lawrence River near Gananoque over the weekend.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon, when 46-year-old Sylvain Demanche and another man were swimming in the river trying to catch up with two boats that were adrift.
Demanche's body was recovered Monday morning.
