A 22-year-old Gatineau man died in hospital Friday night after jumping into a quarry in Aylmer, Que.
Police said the man was swimming at the quarry near Klock and Pink roads Friday afternoon when he dove into the water and didn't come up.
Emergency crews arrived and pulled the man out from 15 feet of water. He was then taken to hospital in Gatineau in critical condition, where he died later that evening.
Gatineau police said his name has not been released and they are continuing to investigate.
