Eastbound lanes on Highway 401 have been reopened after a Gatineau man died Monday morning.
Police believe the driver, 40-year-old Didier Soppo, was traveling east on the 401 around 8 a.m. when his Jeep veered off the highway. The vehicle then went into a ditch and struck a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eastbound lanes on Highway 401 at exit 705 were closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash.
