Classes are back on at Gatineau's CEGEP de l'Outaouais after a nine-week strike against planned tuition increases.

The motion to return to class passed by 18 votes on Friday.

Students at many other Quebec colleges and universities are continuing their strikes over the increases this week.

This is despite what's now seeming like false hope over the provincial government's moves to end unrest, including spreading the hike of about $1,625 over seven years instead of five.
