Many students in the Ottawa region arrived at school late Thursday morning.
At around 6a.m. Ottawa Police shut down West Hunt Club Rdand Fallowfield Rd due to a possible gas leak in the area.
Laura Goulet, Assistant Location Manager of First Student Canada told CTV News up to 110 routes were delayed between five to one hour.
Affected school bus routes included the areas of Barrhaven, Kanata, Stittsville, Kanata, Manotick, and Parkwood Hills.
Since then roads have reopened.
