About one year before the newly renovated Canada Science and Technology Museum is set to reopen, CTV was invited on a media tour of the construction site.

The $80 million renovation will feature six new galleries, double the amount of artifacts and a climate-control hall featuring travelling exhibitions.

Favourites like the Crazy Kitchen and the locomotives are staying put.

The museum was forced to close in 2014 due to issues with its roof and mould.

The museum is expected to open mid-November 2017.
