Missing teen Justin Rutter was spotted in Vanier two nights ago by friends, and he continued to tell them he doesn't want to go home, according to Ottawa police.

The Lowertown 14-year-old disappeared on Oct. 8 after hanging out with friends on Cote Road, near St. Laurent Boulevard.

Police say the teen is "street smart" and frequently hangs out around Lowertown, Vanier and Overbrook. Still, his family says Justin never spent the night away from home prior to going missing.

His mother, Jaye Rutter, issued a plea yesterday for Justin to call home and let the family know that he is all right.

When last seen, he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt/coat and dark jeans. Justin is described as five feet, four inches tall and as weighing about 50 kg.
