The main group opposing the redevelopment plan for Lansdowne Park has decided not to bring its appeal against the project to the Supreme Court of Canada.

The group said it made its decision, which it announced at the park Thursday morning, based on the 3-0 ruling against their case at the Ontario Court of Appeal.

A final city council vote on the half billion dollar deal on the redevelopment of Lansdowne is expected in the next few weeks.

The deal includes a new stadium, housing, a retail complex and green space.
