Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Ottawa, Gatineau, the Ottawa Valley and into the Pontiac.

The freezing rain is expected to start in the Haliburton and Algonquin Park area Friday morning before moving towards the Ottawa Valley by late morning or early afternoon.

The ice will not stick around for very long.  Saturday's temperature is expected to rise to 9 degrees Celsius.

School bus service in Ottawa is running normally today - at least for morning runs.  There may be some delays this afternoon on return runs due to the freezing rain.

The Upper Canada District School Board expects delays this morning.  The Renfrew District School Board has cancelled bus service due to weather.
