The Fraser Instituted released its report on Ontario secondary schools Sunday and two from the Ottawa area are in the Top 10.
Colonel By Secondary School and École secondaire publique De La Salle both scored 9.1 out of 10.
The Fraser Institute ranked 740 public, Catholic and private secondary schools in the province based on data collected from annual math and literacy tests put on by Ontario's Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).
According to the Fraser Institute, 69 schools out of 740 improved their overall rating from the previous year.
Here is a sample of how some schools in the Ottawa area ranked out of a possible 10 points.
- Lisgar Collegiate Institute scored an 8.5
- St. Peter Catholic High School in Orleans scored an 8.2
- Stittsville’s Sacred Heart High School scored an 8.0
- Nepean High School scored a 7.8
- Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School in Orleans scored a 6.5
- Canterbury High School scored a 7.3
- Glebe Collegiate Institute scored a 6.7
- Immaculata High School scored a 5.1
- Woodroffe High School scored a 4.3
- Rideau High School scored a 3.1
- Ottawa Technical Learning Centre scored a 1.9
- Sir Guy Carleton Secondary School was near the bottom of the list with a 0.8/10

- St Joseph's Secondary School in Cornwall scored a 7.2
