OTTAWA -- Two people were taken to hospital in serious but stable condition following a two-vehicle crash in Ottawa's east-end.
Emergency crews responded to the crash on Devine Road at Frontier Road just after 3 p.m. Sunday. Ottawa Fire says when crews arrived on scene, one of the vehicles was on its side along Frontier Road, while two people were trapped in a vehicle on its roof along Devine Road.
Firefighters extricated the four people from the two vehicles and transferred them into the care of paramedics.
In a media release, Ottawa Paramedics said two elderly patients, a female and a male, were taken to the Ottawa Hospital Trauma Centre in serious but stable condition with head and musculoskeletal injuries.
Two other people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
Ottawa Police continue to investigate.
