Four men have been arrested for allegedly using a stolen credit card to defraud several stores in Russell County.

Police were called to a Shoppers Drug Mart in Rockland Wednesday afternoon after complaints about a customer trying to use the card for a purchase.

The suspect had already left the store, but OPP officers tracked a vehicle to the parking lot of a Wal-Mart on Richelieu Street, where the four men were taken into custody.

Police seized several electronic devices such as digital cameras and video game consoles, all in their original packaging. Three stores were apparently targeted: Zellers in Hawkesbury and a Wal-Mart and SONXPLUS in Rockland.

Mario Query, 48, of Montreal, faces 25 charges that include possession and use of a stolen credit card, forging documents, and possession of property obtained by crime.

He was scheduled to appear in L'Orignal court on Friday.

Charges are pending against the other three men.
