The former treasurer for the Rockcliffe Park Public School council is facing fraud charges after thousands of dollars disappeared from its accounts.
Mark MacDonald, age 49, is charged in connection with the disappearance of $76,000 from council books which was first noticed in February.
The council then had to partner with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and “community partners” to pay its outstanding bills.
MacDonald’s next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 21.
