A former psychologist with Corrections Canada will serve two years in jail for her role in helping an inmate escape.

Erin Danto, 35, counseled and then had a romantic affair with a convicted killer who was serving time at the Frontenac Institution in Kingston.

Andrew Wood, who is serving a life sentence for second-degree murder, escaped from the minimum security prison in June.

The pair was found in a vehicle a few days later near Kingston.
