Hydro Ottawa President Rosemarie Leclair resigned Friday after leading the utility company since 2005.
Leclair has been nominated by the McGuinty government to run the Ontario Energy Board.
If she gets the job, she will likely receive a hefty pay increase to what she made at Hydro Ottawa.
The outgoing chair of the Ontario Energy Board was paid almost half a million dollars last year.
