Ottawa Fire officials say five people are homeless after a fire broke out at a home on Donald Street Sunday night.

Crews were called to the three unit home around 8:30 p.m.

It is reported the blaze started in the living room area of a unit on the first floor.

The cause is still under investigation. Total damage is estimated at $450,000.

Two people displaced by Saxony Cres. fire

Two men were displaced after a fire on Saxony Crescent in Ottawa’s east end Sunday evening.

Fire crews were called to the home around 6:30 p.m. The two men who lived in the home are receiving assistance.

Damage is estimated at $300,000. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
