Ottawa police have charged five men after a home invasion on Glynn Avenue early Friday morning.
Police say at about 4 a.m. four men went into a home in the 300 block of Glynn Avenue. The suspects allegedly forced a man into the basement and demanded cash.
The victim was injured during the incident. Police report him being struck with a gun and wounded with a knife.
Police were alerted by someone upstairs who was able to call 9-1-1. Another victim escaped and made it outside as police were arriving at the scene.
A man waiting outside in a stolen vehicle was taken into custody. Four other men were arrested after being found in the basement.
Police say they found a fully loaded handgun as well as crack cocaine and marijuana.
The following suspects face several charges:
- Richard Ellis, 27 years old
- Geovanni Ellis, 18 years old
- Daoui Mousa, 23 years old
- Dennis Hungwe, 29 years old
- Christain Nkusi, 24 years old
